Mission of Land for Tomorrow

The Land for Tomorrow coalition works to ensure that the state’s conservation trust funds – N.C. Land and Water Fund, Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) and the Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund (ADFPTF) are well-funded.

In partnership with state and local governments as well as private landowners, our coalition members conserve North Carolina’s land and water resources, preserve farmland, protect military bases, expand hunting and recreation opportunities, and sustain North Carolina’s economy.

MAKING A STATEWIDE IMPACT
North Carolina’s major economic assets – agriculture, tourism, hunting, fishing, outdoor recreation, and more – all depend on land and water conservation. Those that benefit from state conservation funding include local conservation organizations, small business owners, and family farmers.

These additional funds help keep the N.C. Land and Water Fund and the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund at level funding from recent years, which will enable conservation groups to continue to work with our state partners to protect the state’s valuable natural resources.

We look forward to working with the legislature in future years to continue to increase funding for these trust funds.
