Established in 1994, the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) provides funding for conservation efforts that protect local and state parks, greenways, trails, public beaches, and more across North Carolina’s state park system. Since the fund's establishment, over $638 million have been granted to fund conservation projects across the state. This investment allows for recreational opportunities for residents to enjoy and explore all that North Carolina has to offer.
