The most important thing we have is our voice. Let your legislator know that you support the conservation trust funds and that protecting North Carolina's land and water should be a priority.
Lobby Action Days are a key part of Land for Tomorrow’s work to keep land and water conservation front and center at the North Carolina General Assembly. Each year, coalition members come together in Raleigh to share why conservation matters in their communities. In addition, members from across the state are activated to send emails and post on social to urge legislators to prioritize the conservation trust funds
These focused events give lawmakers a direct look at the local benefits of conservation trust funds. Participants highlight practical outcomes like strengthened agriculture, improved water quality, expanded outdoor recreation, and protected military buffers. By connecting these results to real projects across the state, advocates help legislators understand how conservation funding supports North Carolina’s economy and long-term growth.
Land for Tomorrow equips every participant with clear talking points, district-specific information, and success stories that resonate. The goal is simple: build productive relationships, answer questions, and reinforce that investing in conservation is a smart, bipartisan choice that delivers value for every region.
These days are consistently one of our most effective tools for showing lawmakers the on-the-ground return on conservation dollars and for strengthening support for the trust funds that protect North Carolina’s natural and working lands.
